MY MISSION

At McLaren Personal Training, I help formerly active adults get back to moving well, feeling strong, and living pain-free, with a training approach that respects their age, joints, and time.

 

This isn’t about quick fixes or chasing six-pack abs. It’s about training smart, aging strong, and building a body that works, so you can stay active, independent, and capable for life.

I believe movement is king. And the science is clear: the people who stay active, maintain muscle, and train consistently into later life live longer, move better, and avoid preventable decline.

 

My mission is to help you increase your daily movement, rebuild functional strength, and create real momentum, without fad diets, generic plans, or workouts that break you down.

Who I Am

I’m Gift McLaren, a former national-level sprinter turned performance coach, with over 10 years of experience helping adults rebuild strength, drop fat, and feel in control of their body again.

 

I’ve coached people across all levels, from busy professionals and parents to retirees and rehab clients. I’ve seen how easily life (injuries, stress, age) can knock people off track, and how the right plan can bring them back stronger than ever.

I’ve also been a full-time carer for my disabled niece. That taught me more about the human body and what it really means to be strong and functional,  than any qualification ever could.

My background in sprinting and sports science gives me an edge in biomechanics, speed, and movement. But my real skill is helping everyday people get results safely.
